I just found out today, there is another band in HK with ‘deer’ in their name: Prune Deer. I wonder if these 2 bands have ever played on the same bill?

Queen Wei Ru Yun (魏如昀) and 魏魚肚 with her song, Infection. The song was written by *藍小邪 (lyrics) and 陳君豪 (music)
In case you missed the previous Yuran Session with Queen Wei, have a look at her Lorde cover (Royals).
[* that link is a long list of her lyric credits for various artists, from 2008-2013]

Update: Party Star Show channel has uploaded the whole show! The link for this song with Panai is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZiQKNA4yU4
————————-
A slight warning in advance that the SPL was a bit too much for the videocamera recording this clip, but I wanted to post this Elephant Gym (大象體操) clip from the Taipei tent show. Featuring TW aboriginal folk singer 巴奈 Panai, one of their several guests that evening.
Notice Kaiting singing a unison octave to Panai during some of this song; by the time the next Elephant Gym album rolls around, I’m confident that she will be ready to take the lead vocal herself. Her voice has really come a long way in the last year.
By the way, this YT uploader (張芸嘉) has lots of TW indie content, including at least 2 more from this show.

So soft & beautiful!
Home, by 謝芊彤 謝芊蕾 (2-halves). 2-halves is Chintung Tse 芊彤說’s duo with her sister, 芊蕾說.
See our previous video post from last week!

I have practically zero knowledge of Cantonese, but this is when being able to read Chinese characters comes in handy. I gather from the lyrics and this post by Chingtung Tse that the song is rallying people to stand up for the land that they love. “My homeland will soon be demolished, city development is more important” “How do I preserve my homeland, is there any thing that does not change” “My homeland is your homeland, the colors continue to fade, yesterday is already far away” There have been protests in Hong Kong about civil freedoms and land development. Based on the post, it looks like people will be gathering at the Legislative Council on June 27. 香港人加油!

Some observations (and links) from tradchinesechars on the song posted earlier today – – – I had no idea about the meaning of this song.
I’m so glad tumblr includes the text of re-blogged posts, because I learn so much from readers, even from very brief observations or comments you add to FYCI content.
I just wanted you all to know how helpful this is to me!! =D
