There is a big 2-cd collection of electronic music coming out on July 1st called Philosopher’s Stone. Dark Paradise Records (Shao-Yong Huang from Ma-te Lin, Waa Wei & Lovely Baby) posted all of the tracks to SoundCloud, and I’m just finishing listening to the collection. Every form of electronica seems to be represented: glitchy (Sonic Deadhorse), edm, downtempo, folktronic (謝孟庭 of Maffine), and some ethereal things like this one from Fish In The Sky

UPDATE: More about Fish In The Sky!

Not much to tell you about her/them, other than they have 2 songs posted to StreetVoice; no facebook under that name, and I don’t know who is in the band. Both songs are in English.

You can get more info, see the tracklist and order it HERE. StreetVoice (Blow media) also posted a tracklist and artist description.

There are a few artists I couldn’t locate under the listed names, it’s entirely possible they are informal side projects. If you hear something you like and want to know more, I can try to find out for you.  Likewise, if you have additional info, that would be appreciated. =D

Listen/purchase: False Realities by Pleasantry

Pleasantry from Singapore. They make wonderful use of the dual f/m vocals of Samantha & Isa, both with shared lead vocal and inventive harmonies. This song is especially bouncy, and the 2014 album Synapses is quite impressive!

16mins 乐队 新专辑《魔王Erlkönig》首发演出 – 乐童音乐 – 音乐众筹及音乐人服务平台!

16mins are about to release their debut, 魔王 Erlkönig.  (Devil)

They’ve also posted a promo on StreetVoice, with a description of the recording, studio photos from Germany, and video. Actually, very good information at both of these links!

Here’s a brief clip:

A bit of Helen Feng emcee at the Nova Heart show, I’ve no idea what she’s talking about, but the last bit is funny, “the next track will have lots of reverb and you won’t understand the lyrics, thank you very much”

haowan-er-de clarified: “The performance was littered with ad lib verbal pieces that came out like someone not quite in reality. I asked their manager if it was scripted- entirely not, apparently. Which is disappointing because I’d have liked to have taken down what Helen was saying.”   Thank you for the info!  =D
