The Beat Brothers is a jazz/rock fusion trio with Fish Huang 黃子瑜 (TW)-drums, Teriver Cheung (HK)-gtr, Kerong Chok (SG)-organ/bass.  These guys are all tremendous players, and all get a chance to shine on this piece!   =D

Check out a beautiful composition by Kerong for the Chok Kerong Eleven – Golden Country (that’s Teriver on Gtr), recorded at Esplanade in Singapore last fall:

Full band includes: Chan Yoong-Han, violin; Cindy Lee, violin; Jeremy Chiew, viola; Natasha Liu, cello; Robert Alvarez, flute; Ralph Lim, clarinet/bass clarinet; Elaine Yeo, oboe/english Horn; Teriver Cheung, guitar; Chok Kerong, piano; Desmond White, bass; Soh Wen Ming, drums  (brilliant solo towards the end!)

Teriver is getting some deep bass out of that guitar, I think he’s using a setting on an octave pedal that allows you to add a lower octave to notes that land below a certain threshold, you can really hear it anytime he plays his bottom E string. (the Boss oc3 super octave has this function)

The 3rd member of the band is organist Kerong Chok. (Kerong plays bass pedal keyboard as well) Let’s hear a song from the new album:
