Listen/purchase: The Dragon EP by Green!Eyes

Pry open your wallet and buy this 3-song ep!  Official release date is Aug. 7th, but you can hear the first 2 songs now, both are excellent!  Suggested price is $3., which is a bargain even for the 2 songs I just now heard!  =D

Yuchain Wang 王昱辰 – guitars, vocals & handclaps
Levon Hsu 許哲毓 – bass (Frandé, Tizzy Bac)
Zunlong Lo 羅尊龍-drums/percussions (Boyz & Girl, Go Chic, Sleaze, Sunset RollercoasterForests)
Jed 郭子暐 – piano, Rhodes, organ & synth
張家豪(香蕉)- trumpets (Mary Bites Kerry)

I should add that a few of these guys are in Moonteg, including Yuchain.

Album release show in Taipei at Chapel Live on Aug. 7th/8th:

The new Soul Live Box is up, the duo OK繃 (Bandage) with percussion help from (B?).  That cello sound is gorgeous!

You can see more OK繃 at their YT channel

Soul Live Box is on facebook.  They do a nice job on these clips, I wish they would find a nice rooftop space to make a weekly video for BalconyTV

BalconyTV: 79,109 subscribers • 60,275,168 views since Jun 1, 2006

It really bugs me that there’s no representation from Taipei, Taichung or Kaohsiung.  Such a no-brainer way to turn the world on to the TW indies.  As long as I’m venting my spleen, the same goes for Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur.  Some of these cities already have (or had) a dedicated YT channel for live indies. What’s preventing Stage-Tube HK, CRI Sound Stage in China, or Thewknd in Malaysia from making a regular video for an international channel? The lack of a porch/patio/balcony/rooftop/dock? COME ON!

The current Asian Balcony TV cities are Delhi, Mumbai, Seoul, and Tokyo.  Look at the full list and tell me why the C-indies aren’t all over this?!

Seriously, go look at any clip from the Tokyo or Tel Aviv or Brooklyn contributors. Look how much fun they’re having. Now imagine the Yuran Session or Soul Live Box video team matched with a personable host for the mini interview (e.g., Mami Ku, Ball, ciacia, iNCH Chua, Waa Wei, Achino Chang, Peggy Hsu, Helen Feng, Jonathan Alpart).

By the way, if you enjoy a variety of musical styles in your YT feed, you really need to add Balcony TV.  =D
