Farmer and Fisherman / 农夫渔夫 by 大乔小乔, from their album 渔樵问答

This is a wonderful find by eastimpressions, A duo of Uncle and Niece called Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao (大乔小乔 / ?Big Joe Little Joe?) from China. This song is the title track from their new album, Fisherman and the Woodcutter (渔樵问答).

They have been touring in support throughout September. (Incidentally, there is a classic Chinese folk piece, titled Dialogue Between a Fisherman and a Woodcutter, which you can hear in this Guqin performance by Wang Peng.)

I highly recommend you go to their Douban site to hear the album in its entirety. So gentle, so beautiful!

This is their second release, following Xiaoshi de Guangnian (消失的光年 / The Disappearance of Light Years) from 2007.

Remember 山東 SADON & The Fader? Well, SADON has just released her first solo album a few days ago, produced by Sandee Chan. The song is called 對我來說 (For Me), a lovely and gentle melody, and this clip is quite cute.
Follow the clip back to her youtube site, there are a few more short videos there.
And there is a Facebook as well. I’m still trying to *figure out if she is still with Sadon & the Fader band, or if her mini tour is being supported by other musicians. If you know, please tell me! =)
