This is very sweet! A video birthday card to Cookie Chang of Bearbabes
Over 2 different songs, there are many photos sent in by fans and many live shots of Cookie & the band, from over the last several years. Along with that are the individual greetings and birthday wishes (all in Chinese).
The clip ends with drummer Chen Han needing several takes to get in his birthday greeting, heh-heh.

The picture is kinda murky, and the sound is quite thin, but what we have here is Carrchy playing live at 北戴河6789海洋音乐节 (6789 Ocean Music Festival) in Qinhuangdao, China. (June 10-12)
There are 4 songs in this video, and there are more live Carrchy clips back at Youku video site.
More importantly, there are 3 new demos (added March 26th) to hear. One would have to think this means they are getting a new album ready, right? As a Carrchy fan, I really hope so, they were such a big part of my early C-music listening, and I love their music still!

Look what I received in the mail, all the way from Taipei City, Tainan!
Palapelit sent extra copies of their 2012 2 song ep, 一個人也沒有 (No One There)!
So generous of them to do that. =D
Well, it would be selfish for me to keep them all, especially since I know we have some Palapelit fans out there, right?
Okay, send me a message if you would like one of these cds to show up in your mailbox. (by the way, you can hear both songs at their SoundCloud.

One last Palapelit note: I started a page for them on Last.fm. With more people ‘scrobbling’ their Palapelit plays into that social media site, perhaps we can spread the word about a cool band! =)

Yay for SCM player! :D Do you know about trntbl.me? It’s a website that allows ppl to listen to all the music on any tumblr blog as a playlist in one place! Actually you dont have to set up anything (just type in your tumblr name and it’ll generate automatically), but it’s really cool and more people should know about it!!

Hiya! I never heard of trntbl.me, but I just plugged my personal tumblr into the user, and it brought up all the songs into a playlist. SO COOL! =D
But it seems to be skipping the songs from SoundCloud. I think tumblr has a problem with that hosting format, which is why I stopped using Streampad.
I’ll add this link to my last message, because I agree, it is a something people should try. Thanks for the tip, dramarathon! =D

New Music Player

Hi peeps. *waves*
I know the vast majority of you receive fyeahcindie in your tumblr feed, and not at the actual site, but I replaced the Streampad player that wasn’t working with the SCM player that is.
I’ve noticed a great number of your blogs use SCM player – that is what convinced me to use it. =D
By the way, it doesn’t start up automatically, so click play. I have it set to shuffle the songs.
Also, you can read the entire playlist over on the far right. 16 songs, hopefully a representative selection of the c-indies. I’ll try to add more to the playlist, assuming it keeps working without any glitches. (Feel free to suggest bands for the music layer, as well as for the blog!)

I just received another suggestion for playing music from tumblr sites from dramarathon : plug the name of any tumblr into http://trntbl.me/, and it will show every song from that site in a playlist. Other than music from SoundCloud, it seems to play just fine.
I’m listening to music from my personal tumblr atm. =). Big thanks to dramarathon for the tip!

恕樂團 新任主唱公開徵選 Solemn’s New vocalist audition (by 小鈺 黃)

I don’t normally post anything so heavy, but I like this clip from the death metal band, Solemn. Very thoughtful way to announce a band audition, almost like getting to know the members before you even walk in the door to meet them. That can be an intimidating situation.
小鈺 (Shiauyu Huang) is their drummer, and if I recall, I posted her drum cover of Dream Theater a while ago. (maybe on my personal tumblr?)
She’s very talented, and even if death metal is not your thing, she covers a variety of hard rock styles, including lots of western bands.
Anyway, this clip is subbed in English and in Chinese.
I’m not sure if they have found a new singer yet, but I think they had one of their old singers fill in some shows.
